The Fall of 2018 has a jam-packed list of exciting titles I can’t wait to play
Man is 2018 a great year for gaming? With all the great games that have come out this year you think it couldn’t get any better. Wrong. My hype train is in full motion still, because there are still so many amazing games releasing this year. Where will we find the time to play all these amazing new titles? Who knows, but we’ll make it work. Here is my list of the top 5 titles releasing in the fall of 2018 that I think everyone should be excited about. Remember this is all just my personal opinion and this list is in no particular order. Be sure to let me know what games you’re excited for!
The List of the Top 5 Games Releasing In Fall 2018
1. Marvel’s Spider-Man – Releasing September 7th, 2018
A very fond memory of my childhood was playing Ultimate Spider-Man on the original Xbox. I would spend hours just slinging around the city and fighting crime, feeling like a hero. Or I would use the mode to turn into Venom and just run around causing havoc. It was a great time. Every since that, there have been many new Spider-Man games that have just missed the mark. But Marvel’s Spider-Man seems to be planning to change that. From all the trailers this game looks to try to capture the feeling of truly being Spider-Man. It will be introducing fluid, revolutionary hand to web combat that can be switched seamlessly. This game is releasing for PlayStation 4 only, on September 7th. Be sure to pre-order this game if you are excited about it, because there are some awesome looking skins included for preordering!

2. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Releasing October 5th, 2018
The Assassin’s Creed series has made a comeback with the last game, Assassin’s Creed Origins, taking the game in a direction I feel no one expected it to go. But this change of scenery and timeline have been the refresher that the series desperately needed. Ubisoft is continuing this trend by taking the next game in the series into the lands where the Great Spartans once ruled. As stated by the game’s website:
Write your own epic odyssey and become a legendary Spartan hero in Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey, an inspiring adventure where you must forge your destiny and define your own path in a world on the brink of tearing itself apart. Influence how history unfolds as you experience a rich and ever-changing world shaped by your decisions.
I’m very excited that Ubisoft is taking risk with the series. The games before Origins felt too safe and there was nothing new being done. And with one releasing every year it was becoming tiresome. But now Assassin’s Creed is back! Ubisoft has already stated there will not be another game next year after this one, but that is okay. Taking time off from the series will just make the hype for the next one even greater! This game releases October 5th and be sure to preorder to get the Blind King bonus mission:
3. Fallout 76 – Releasing November 14th, 2018
Let me tell you, I was not expecting this when it was announced. Never in all my days did I think I would see a multiplayer Fallout game. But apparently 2018 was the year for it. Now I am not sure how everything is going to work for this game. But IF IT WORKS WELL, then this game could be a huge a success. That is why I am excited about it. Being able to build a character and team up with your best friends to take over the Wasteland sounds like a great time to me.
Like look at this picture above. You can work with your best friends to take on huge monster and then take pictures together. If all goes to plan, than this game will be revolutionary for the Fallout series. I truly hope it does turn out to be good. Be sure to preorder to get access to the B.E.T.A to test the game out early and see how it is before anyone else! Here are links to preorder it:
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Releasing October 12th, 2018
Call of Duty is looking to shake things up this year with their new title, Black Ops 4. Taking place before Black Ops 3, Call of Duty is continuing the trend of boots on the ground gameplay. They realize now that this is truly what fans want from this series. The Black Ops series is also continuing the trend of using Specialist characters to add variety and different combat styles for players to use. I personally believe that specialist add something extra to gameplay and keep things interesting on a formula that tends to be repetitive. And of course Black Ops 4 is bringing back zombies, which we all love. Black Ops 4 is also riding the trend of the newest and most popular mode trending among games, Battle Royale. It will be interesting to see how this mode operates, as they promise to include: All our favorite characters, weapons, map locations, and vehicles ranging from land, air, and sea. Be sure to preorder this one! Links to amazon to preorder:
5. Red Dead Redemption 2 – Releasing October 26th, 2018
This is the game I am most hyped for, I cannot lie. The original Red Dead Redemption is probably one of favorite games and if this one is just any bit better than it was, than it will be my new favorite. And from what we have seen so far, than Rockstar is going all out to make this one as good as it can possibly be. I’ve done several articles already from covering the possibility of character customization to the confirmed weapons so far. Either way, we cannot wait until October 26th get here. Be sure to preorder in order to get access to the exclusive outfits, and weapons. Links to preorder here:
